About Terry Douglas
Raised in The Bronx, New York, I attended Fordham Preparatory and University where I earned a Masters Degree in Russian Studies, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. I served in the United States Air Force before joining the Central Intelligence Agency for which I served in Warsaw, New Delhi, Beirut, and Berlin before resigning to join the Department of Defense.
In the private sector, I headed up a security consulting company that was active in Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War, founded my own company that served companies seeking to conduct business abroad, was the academic chair for Intelligence and Space Studies at a university, and most recently journeyed to Afghanistan to assist the fledgling democracy meet the external and internal threats it faces.
The sudden loss of my spouse prompted me to delve into grief in all its applications and served to ground me even deeper in my spiritual journey.
My life revolves around my children, grandchildren, and the close friends that surround me from near and afar. For fun I am raising a pre-teen, write, consult, conduct workshops, and kayak in the Atlantic from my home in Virginia Beach.
