Scripture: The precepts of Yahweh are honest, joy for the heart; the commandment of Yahweh is pure, light for the eyes; the fear of Yahweh is pure, lasting forever; the judgments of Yahweh are true, upright, everyone, more desirable than gold, even than the finest gold; his words are sweeter than honey, that drips from the comb. Psalm 19:8-10

Prayer: As I walked to the beach intimacy with the Lord was on my quiet heart. The clouds gathered around the rising sun formed shapes of a regal presence above an expanding ocean vista. A flight of four cormorants seems to herald His arrival.

Response: There are those who would envy your aloneness at moments like you experienced at water’s edge this morning. Consider the psalmist’s words to describe his experience of the Lord—honest, joyful, pure, light, lasting forever, upright, more desirable than the finest gold, and compare them to your own..

These words from over three thousand years in the past are shared with you and cause you to consider your experiences in the Lord in all of life’s seasons—seasons of joy, grief, challenge, forgiveness, love, and exploration.

This day be especially alert to note your experiences in the Lord, and don’t be surprised if the unexpected grips your heart during your daily walk. Praise God!

All for this morning.
