Scripture: No one has ever seen God, but as long as we love one another, God remains in us and his love comes to its perfection in us.  This is the proof that we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us a share in his Spirit. 1 John 4:12-13

Prayer: I sense the share in His Spirit I receive in the company of loved ones, in being present to those who have just lost a loved one, and especially now as I sit in stillness—even loneliness—reflecting upon His presence in my life.

Response: The Lord’s presence in your life are like the pilings opposite your window, driven deep below the water surface in the canal, providing stability in all seasons of life. The Lord’s presence is the smile that generates throughout the day, the reflection that grips you in silence,  and the even breath you draw that is in harmony with your life.

Your love for one another resonates the deep love you experience and the prayers that love inspires. Your prayer is like the whisper of the morning breeze, just out of reach to define.

In times of loss, your prayer can ease the suffering of those who remain unable to let go of their anxieties and listen to the God who remains within and whose love comes to perfection in you. Praise God!

All for this morning.
