Scripture: Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful. Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near. Never worry about anything; but tell God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shot through with gratitude, and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

Prayer: I am in midst—hopefully in the final stage—of a massive clean-out of the old from my home in preparation for the new. What a relief to let go of the past and embrace what is before me, and most of all to be joyful.

Reflection: The peace of the God is indeed invading your interior—as found in discarding what represents the past in possessions, and in embracing what is before you in soulful prayer for family, friends, and those scattered about the world in confusion.

Take note of the manifestation of your prayer in silence, during reflection upon scripture, in the depth of your heart pleading for understanding, compassions, and perseverance.

Begin this day and the following with the opening words of the scripture—Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful. Praise the Lord!

All for this morning.
