Scripture: God, examine me and know my heart, test me and know my concerns. Psalm139 (of David):23

Prayer: My windows shuddered in the high wind last night, and this morning the waves thrashed upon the sands of the solitary beach, as the sun shone brightly. This is a ritual I have adopted that gives me pause at the beginning of another adventurous day. Be with me Lord, and let me and my loved ones become ever more conscious of your presence wherever we roam.

Response: In gathering and uniting your prayers with loved ones, your reach becomes ever wider to include even the solitary who has forgotten the joy of companionship—something you have come to treasure in relationship.

On this brilliant morning of contrasts—frigid breeze and tumultuous waves woven into your interior peace and consciousness—be expectant of the Lord’s touch and guidance this particular day. It’s as if you are at the inn on the road to Emmaus, preparing to venture out to continue your journey. Consider your eagerness to share your experiences with loved ones—especially those confined because of illness or discouragement.

The Lord examines your heart. He knows you in the deepest regions of your being, and His love for you is measured in the grace He bestows upon you, especially at times when you become perplexed with the terrain before you. Praise deeply your Loving God!

All for this morning.
