Scripture: My one command to them was this: Listen to my voice, then I will be your God, and you shall be my people. In everything, follow the way that I mark out for you, and you shall prosper. Jeremiah 7:23

Prayer: Hearing these words in my heart is ever a reminder to pause, especially when my mind is thrashing about in all directions. These words have rung in our hearts for centuries, and have special meaning for me this morning.

Response: Jeremiah reported a special directive of God that reaches you this morning for a reason, and is a call for you to listen especially to His voice as you set out in your car. Consider the reason the words from scripture were presented to you. What a wonderful theme to consider during the ride.

Don’t you see how with all the scrambling, you are called to be still and direct your heart to the inner voice that accompanies you each day wherever you roam, with whomever you have contact, for whomever you pray, and especially for peace to reign among nations and within your nation.

Select those areas of your interest and even concern, and during this drive offer them in prayer for the Lord to enfold all in His healing grace. Then, take note of what occurs to confirm that the call from the deepest corridors of who you are was heard. Praise God!

All for this morning.
