Scripture: The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness. Psalm23:1-3

Prayer: I have so much to do today that I am up before dawn—only the black of night is before me. It is on mornings like this that Psalm 23 is a great comfort for me.

Response: Especially, at times like this, the Lord leads you to where your soul is restored. This is a special time to listen for and to Him, to be expectant that His guidance in all matters of the heart will fulfill His purpose for you this day.

Isn’t it His blessing that you shall not be in need, but will witness His presence, as you do now, in your life? Reflect on that which is provided as you experience Him in the quiet before the rising of the sun. Take these moments as a special blessing before the day opens with its tasks and concerns.

Pray for friends and family who are about to rise that they too will experience His presence in each of their lives and that they may share this blessing with those they encounter this day. Praise God!

All for this morning.
