Scripture: Hear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God: save your servant who trusts in you. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. Psalm 86 (of David):1-4

Prayer: In the silence, the wind outside my window seems to sweep through my heart this morning. I pray deeply for loved ones and for those who seek shelter from their pain.

Response: What a blessing to end the day and begin another in prayer for loved ones, respecting their own individual journeys where they too discover the Lord on those winding trails sometimes on desolate slopes alone, as other loved ones respecting your soul discovery.

Consider David’s opening line as echoing your sentiments in the past as well as now as you encounter new challenges. Nothing should surprise you—you have been trudging along it seems for a century—and it seems each day provides you a new adventure of the heart.

It is ok for you to ask of the Lord—bring joy to your servant for to you I lift up my soul. Let those words be your mantra this day. Praise God!

All for this morning.
