Meditation 17, 2017

Scripture: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:333-24

Prayer: When was the time that pursuit of the kingdom and his righteousness began to take over my living consciousness? Surely, it was not when I was a young man so intent on proving myself—whatever that means. Keep me Lord from being distracted by the tomorrows and those that follow.

Reflection: Yes, it has taken some years for you to be in the present—in the present for those who need your attention, for the tasks—especially the creative tasks that are before you, for loved ones and friends who seek attention, for your own spiritual harmony that requires focus.

Today, like any day, offers you the challenge for the focus on the divine which incidentally orders your moments for becoming transformed in the Lord’s grace. And you will notice the shift in your priorities when you welcome and embrace the transformation in your innermost being.

Consider the transformation that occurs within you by adhering to Matthew’s anointed words—seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Remember the Lord is always, yes always, present to you wherever you are and whatever challenges you or loved ones are addressing. Praise God!

All for this morning.
