    Who comes knocking
    at my door?
    Hides beneath my bed
    and more.

    Steals beneath my
    blankets warm,
    Carresses, crawls,
    tingles, swarms

    Pretends to be
    a friend, no fear
    but only leaves
    a trail of tears

    What name has this
    this silent thief
    “Be still” he says
    and you will sleep

    “Be still” he whispers
    to my soul
    I am your breath
    and that you know

    You run and hide
    the whole day long
    Try to cover with
    your song

    Be still he hisses
    in my ear.
    Lonliness, has found
    you dear

    Lonliness
    a simple name
    changes rules
    and changes games

    Sleep now deep
    slip away
    no escape
    another day
